How to get Aadhar card? Complete process 2025
🔶 Step 1: Find the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center
- Visit UIDAI website: 👉 https://appointments.uidai.gov.in
- Select “Locate Enrollment Center” option
- Search by state, PIN code or city name
- Select the nearest enrolment center
🔶 Step 2: Prepare the required documents
You will need to carry some documents for proof of identity and address. Example:
- Proof of identity (Any One) Proof of address (Any One)
- Voter ID card Electricity/water bill
- PAN card Bank passbook
- Passport Ration card
- Driving license Telephone/mobile bill
👉 You will need to carry original documents (photocopies will not work).
🔶 Step 3: Visit Aadhaar Enrolment Centre
- Visit the Enrolment Centre (Appointment is preferred)
- Fill the Aadhaar form – you will be asked to provide:
- Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Address, Mobile Number, Email (if any)
- Your Biometrics will be taken:
- Photograph
- Fingerprints (10 fingers)

- Enter your Enrollment ID
- ➡ Your Aadhaar is ready in 10–15 days (sometimes it can take up to 90 days)
🔶 Step 6: Download Aadhaar (E-Aadhaar)
- Once Aadhaar is generated, you can download e-Aadhaar in PDF form from UIDAI website.
- For this, OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.

✨ Step 1: Visit UIDAI Portal

✨ Step 2: Login
- Enter 12 digit Aadhaar number
- Receive OTP and login (OTP will come on registered mobile number)
✨ Step 3: Click on “Update Address Online”
- Select “Address Update” section
- Then click on “Update Aadhaar Online” option
✨ Step 4: Enter New Address
- Enter correct and complete address in both English and Hindi
- Upload scanned copy of correct document (in PDF or JPEG format)
- Acceptable Documents (Address Proof) – Any one:
- Electricity/Water/Gas Bill
- Bank Passbook
- Ration Card
- Passport

- Voter ID

Step By Step Process
🔸 Step 1: Go to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra
- First get information about your nearest Aadhaar Enrollment / Update Center

🔸 Step 2: Take the required documents with you
- As per the updated information, you will have to provide certificates:
- Correction Required Documents (Any One)
- Name Change : Passport, PAN Card, Birth Certificate etc.
- Date of Birth Change : Birth Certificate, School Certificate
- Address Change : Ration Card, Electricity Bill, Bank Passbook
- Mobile Number Change : No document, only mobile is required
- Gender Change : No specific document, mentioned in the form
👉 Take the original copy of all the documents, photocopies are not accepted.
🔸 Step 3: Fill Aadhaar Correction Form
- At the centre, you will receive an Aadhaar Update/Correction Form
- Fill in the correct details and attach the relevant documents
- The operator will update the details after your biometric verification
🔸 Step 4: Pay the fee
- ₹50 (including GST) is charged per correction
- You will receive an Acknowledgment Receipt and URN (Update Request Number)

- Click on “Check Update Status”
- Enter your URN to check the status

How to Download E-Aadhaar Card Online 2025
You can download your Aadhaar card in PDF format from the UIDAI website. For this you must have one of the following

- Enter the details:
- 14 digit EID (given on your Aadhaar slip)

- Enter the 16 digit Virtual ID
- Enter the captcha and OTP
